Most everything on the menu is homemade, from the bread, to the coleslaw...many gluten free options as well. Portions are awesome, my fish was huge! “ 17 is worth a stop even if you are not hungry. It is the quintessential north wood cafe with antique wood work with hand carved booths. There is even a dial payphone by the entrance. Homemade bread and fresh cut potatoes with a generous portion of Canadian bacon were delicious. Service was classic diner polite, fast and efficient. ”

“ This gem didn’t look like much from outside, but inside it was charming and clean, and recently renovated. Everything was home made—the burger, the fries, even the bread. My wife’s club sandwich had plentiful oven-roasted turkey. Best part—the prices seem like they’re out of the 90’s! Great service, full stomachs and only $26 for our lunch. The 40% tip I left was entirely justified. ”

“ A throwback in 1997 where good prices meet big portion and warm welcome. I've been stopping at this restaurant Beaucause Bob who i met in the street sent me there . It's been a nice moment charging my batteries surrounded by half the town coming in for to eat inside or for take out . A pleasure to meet Jeannine and her husband . Thepoutine was very good , with cheese curd and home made sauce, a bit gravy-like . been there as part of my Canada Crosscountry Bikepacking trip with my Parrot Chuck on my Giant momentum Pak yak cargo Bike. Go there if you're driving trough Blind River, it is a must, an institution. Higly Recommend this place. ”
